Hip pain is a common complaint that can be caused by a wide variety of problems. The precise location of your hip pain can provide valuable clues about the underlying cause.
Problems within the
hip joint itself tend to result in pain on the inside of your hip or your groin. Hip pain on the outside of your hip, upper thigh or outer buttock is usually caused by problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons and other soft tissues that surround your hip joint. Common conditions include, F.A.I  (Femeroacetabular Impingment), Bursitis (inflammation of the fluid sacs surrounding the hip), Muscle imbalances, sprains or irritation to the local ligaments such as the Sacroiliac Joint/ ligamement at the back of the hip/pelvis, Iliolumber ligament between the lower back and pelvis, Ischiofemoral ligament in the front of the hip, Sciatica or Osteoarthritis.
Hip pain can sometimes be caused by  conditions in other areas of your body, such as your lower back. This type of pain is called referred pain. The good news it the the vast majority of hip problems can be helped with skilled assessment, precise treatment, a well thought out home exercise routine and a dedicated individual.

Reasons why your Hip Pain is lasting longer than it should;

  • You thought it would just go away

  • You've tried non-specific exercises from Google or YouTube

  • You've tried a few 'massages' or other non-specific treatments

  • You've had 'physio' before but you just didn't get the result you wanted
